Shouldn't CPM pay for Pinarayi's chopper ride?

The CPM State Secretariat, which met here on Thursday, decided not to pay for the helicopter ride of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan from the party fund. It also observed that there was no lapse on the part of the authorities concerned in billing the travel expense to the State Disaster Relief Fund. Minister A K Balan said nothing illegal is there in the government order which sought to pay the expense of the CM's helicopter ride from the State Disaster Relief Fund. There is no need for the party to pay for it, Balan said. The money to pay for the helicopter ride will be sourced from government fund.
