Wannabe ministers going overboard?

In a setback to former minister and NCP leader AK Saseendran in the sleaze talk case, the complainant, who filed the plea asking to quash the case, has withdrawn the petition. This will be a severe setback to Saseendran's move to return to the cabinet after reaching an out-of-court-settlement in the case. It is assumed that the petitioner withdrew the petition foreseeing the possibility of facing a setback from the High Court. It was alleged that there were attempts to make the woman withdraw the case by offering her inducements including a government job. It is in this context that the complainant has gone for this surprise move.- Joseph Vazhacken, Adv A Jayasankar, Mujeeb Rahman and Adv Muhammed Shah.
