Behera cites probe against Chandy incomplete, returns file

Kottayam: Vigilance Director Loknath Behera on Tuesday returned the investigation file against former Transport Minister Thomas Chandy citing incomplete investigation. Behera further directed the Kottayam Vigilance DySP to carry out a detailed probe into allegations of Chandy diverting the course of streams, filling up approach road and violating the Conservation of Paddy Land and Wetland Act.The Vigilance Court had earlier issued strict direction to submit the quick verification report on the complaint against Chandy on January 4 and the DySP was preparing to submit the report today. Against this backdrop, the Vigilance Director has returned the file.
