Three killed as car hits Metro rail pillar in Aluva

Kochi: Three persons including a father and son were killed after their car rammed into a pillar of the Kochi Metro rail at Muttam in Aluva. Kottayam Kumaranellur natives T. T. Rajendra Prasad, his son T. R. Arun Prasad, daughter’s father-in-law Alappatt Chandran Nair were killed in the accident. The accident took place at 3 am, when they were returning from Nedumbassery after dropping Chandran Nair’s son in the airport. The car ran over the divider and overturned after it hit the pillar. Rajendra Prasad died on the spot and the other two succumbed to injuries at the hospital. Rajendra Prasad is the Library staff of Malayala Manorama daily and Arun Prasad is a staff of Manorama Online.
