Ockhi: 7 deaths reported today, toll rises to 13

T'puram: The total number of deaths reported in the state in the aftermath of Cyclone Ockhi, on Saturday rose to seven. As per official records, the rain-related deaths in the state totaled 13, so far. Official figures put the number of fishermen rescued from the sea at 450 while more than 100 are still missing. Reports said fishermen have been allowed to board a Coast Guard ship for the rescue mission. The loss incurred in the widespread damage caused by the cyclone is estimated to be Rs 8 crore.
