Dept. of Education miffed over KBPS bills

T'puram: Department of Education is unhappy with the stand of KBPS with respect to the printing of text books . The Department of Education says that the amount due to the KBPS has increased because of lapses in bills presented and the delay in proper examination. They say there are pending arrears from the previous government's tenure to be settled. Bills submitted by KBPS with respect to printing and distribution need to be examined in detail, as it has charged amounts higher than permissible in several instances. For that, the inspection and clearance of the finance department is necessary, feels the education department.
