CU sabotages govt stand on allotting new courses

Kozhikode: Though the State Government's public stand is that it won't sanction new colleges and courses, the government has gone back on its promise. The government gave its nod for new courses to be started in five colleges in Thrissur. Some colleges which were denied the permission had approached the High Court. After HC said the University can decide the affiliation was given to these colleges. Now, the Calicut University is getting ready to give nod to start new colleges and courses overriding the decision of the state government.
