D Cinemaas land grab: Lapses from Dist Administration

Kochi: A report submitted by the Land Revenue Commissioner over the alleged land grab by the multiplex theatre complex D Cinemaas owned by actor Dileep has pointed to lapses on the part of the Thrissur District Administration. A complaint filed by Aluva-native Santhosh said Dileep took hold of one acres of land, originally allocated to Chalakkudy Sreedharamangalam Sree Krishna temple for building an ‘Oottupura’ by the erstwhile Thirukochi cabinet, by creating three different title deeds in 2005. On his complaint, Thrissur District Collector M S Jaya had submitted a report favouring Dileep. Later, the complainant approached the High Court which directed the Land Revenue Commissioner to hold a hearing.
