HC slams decision to re-open bars on highways

Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday slammed the state government decision to open liquor vends on highways, warning they should not interpret the court's directive and any action should be taken only after seeking a clarification. The HC warned the government that it should not try to shoot from its shoulders; if the government tries, the Court knows very well to shoot back. he criticism came during the hearing of the petition filed by Koilandy Muncipal councilor Ibrahim Kutty against the reopening of bars.
