Liquor outlets to open before liquor policy is announced

Kozhikode: Even as Excise Minister TP Ramakrishnan says that the liquor policy of the state will be announced before June 30, a path has been cleared for the opening of 72 liquor outlets. The controversy over the notification regarding national highways will prove to be a headache for the State government. In Kozhikode, five beer and wine parlours have opened already while those in Mahe are gearing up to open business at the earliest.
