SC rejects state govt’s plea against T P Senkumar

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday rejected the petition filed by Kerala government seeking more clarity and amendment on the Supreme Court order to reinstate T P Senkumar as DGP. Noting that the government action cannot be justified, the court asked the government to pay Rs 25,000 as court expenses.The court decided to consider the contempt of court petition filed by T P Senkumar over the delay in his reinstatement as State Police Chief. The court has sent a notice to the government asking to provide an explanation in this regard. The chief secretary need not appear in court now. The court will consider Senkumar's petition on Tuesday.
