Malappuram Collectorate blast: Two more arrested

Malappuram: Two more persons have been arrested in connection with the Malappuram Collectorate blast. Leader of the Base Movement, a home grown terror outfit, N Abubacker and A Abdul Rahman have been held by the Malappuram police from Madurai on Sunday. The arrested, hailing from Madurai, were brought to Malappuram on Monday morning and will be produced before the Manjeri district Sessions Court at about 11 am. Police believe that Abubacker is the kingpin of the Base Movement. After Al Uma head Emam Ali was killed, a new terror outfit called Al Muthaqin Forum was formed. This home-grown terror outfit had conducted blasts in several places in Madurai and Teni district during 2003 to 2014.
