Rocks blasted close to Idukki dam, safety in peril: KSEB

Idukki: KSEB complained to the district collector that rocks close to the Idukki dam are being blasted with explosives for the construction of a Medical college. The explosions could create problems for the safety of the dam. The explosions are being conducted 100 metres away from Cheruthony dam, a part of Idukki dam. KSEB said in its complaint that this activity will not be permitted.
