Arrest of Krishnadas: HC criticises police

Kochi: The Kerala High Court, on Monday, severely censured the police in connection with the arrest of Nehru Group chairman P Krishnadas. The court observed that the police added charges which were not mentioned in the LLB student's complaint. Krishnadas had moved the High Court on Monday morning seeking anticipatory bail. In the afternoon, police took five persons among Krishnadas into custody.The police slapped charges which are not mentioned either in the complaint or in the statement given by the petitioner, the lawyer argued.The court said it knew how to deal with police personnel attempting to hoodwink it.
