Gang rape in Delhi: Woman ran naked on streets to escape

New Delhi: A young woman, allegedly gang-raped by five persons, escaped by jumping off the balcony of the first floor flat, and ran naked on the streets crying out for help, police said. The incident took place around 5:30 a.m. at Pandav Nagar in east Delhi on Sunday. The 26-year-old Nepali woman said that she came to the flat with one of the accused who is a common friend and she alleged that the accused was later joined by four of his friends and they gang-raped her, said the police. The accused have been identified from CCTV visuals. The video also shows that the woman was not helped by onlookers even after she cried for help. In the end, an auto rickshaw driver came to her rescue.
