The government on Monday removed Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Chairman Fr. Thomas Joseph Therakam and CWC member Sister Betty Jose from their respective posts. Fr. Thomas Joseph Therakam and Sister Betty Jose may be made accused in the case. Police have indicated that both of them may be arrested soon. The Mananthavady diocese had removed Thomas Joseph Therakam as spokesperson of the diocese the other day. Can a priest be called a hunter? May be not but in these circumstances are enough to prove that he was trying to help the hunter who raped and impregnated a child.
