RSS leader's threat against CM: House passes resolution

T'puram: The Kerala Assembly, on Monday, has passed a resolution against Kundan Chandrawat, the Madhya Pradesh-based RSS leader who issued a death threat to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The opposition backed the resolution brought in by Minister A K Balan. The resolution says the police have charged him under minor sections and wanted the authorities to invoke stringent sections. Chandrawat had raked up a controversy last week after he announced a reward of Rs 1 crore to anyone who brought the severed head of the Kerala Chief Minister while attending a meeting in Ujjain. Following a huge public outcry, Chandrawat withdrew his statements and the RSS leader was also stripped of his post.
