SC criticise Kerala govt over ouster of TP Senkumar as DGP

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday observed that the removal of T P Senkumar from the post of Kerala DGP is a serious issue as the government action was taken on the basis of personal evaluation. "How can the government take action on the basis of press reports? If action is taken in such a way, will there be officers left in the police force? The government should provide explanation before March 27th,;the court ordered. Senkumar had approached the Supreme Court against the government action f removing him as DGP of law and order. In the petition, Senkumar said that he was removed as a part of political revenge by the CPM as he had taken action against party leaders.
