Opposition boycott budget alleging leak of key documents

T'puram: Budget presentation in the Kerala Assembly was disrupted on Friday as the Opposition sought an explanation from the Finance Minister Thomas Isaac over alleged leak of budget highlights. Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala showed a printout of the budget highlights, which was allegedly circulated on social media. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Finance Minister Thomas Isaac said the matter is being viewed by the government seriously and will be examined. The opposition walked out of the House. Chennithala presented a alternative budget before the media at another venue, by reading out the leaked budget highlights.
