VS slams VACB, says probes moving at snail's pace

T'puram: Coming down heavily on the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) once again, former Chief Minister and Administrative Reforms Commission (ARC) Chairman V S Achuthanandan said that the investigations into the corruption cases are moving at a snail's pace. He was speaking during a workshop organised by Barton Hill Law College and Indian Institute of Public Administration here. He said that no actions are being undertaken by the Vigilance as people had expected. Perhaps, they are pointing to technical and legal impediments for the delay in concluding the probes. Nothing is happening as was expected. People who had spoken against graft, often forget about it when they reach certain positions, VS added.
