High Court asks whether a Vigilance Raj is on in state

Kochi: The Kerala High Court asked whether a Vigilance Raj is prevailing in the state. The Vigilance is even questioning Cabinet decisions.; the vigilance court should not pave way for unwanted arguments, the HC said while considering the case relating to the appointment of N Sankar Reddy as the Vigilance DGP during the previous UDF regime. In the report submitted to the Vigilance court the other day, the VACB had cited violation of norms in granting promotion to Sankar Reddy during the previous UDF regime and his appointment as Vigilance Director. Challenging the VACB stance, Sankar Reddy and former Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala had approached the High Court.
