Vigilance Court rejects petition against Jacob Thomas

Muvattupuzha: The Muvattupuzha Vigilance Court on Tuesday rejected the petition demanding vigilance probe against Vigilance Director Jacob Thomas in connection with alleged irregularities in the purchase of dredger when he was the Ports Director. Rejecting the petition, the court said that the evidence submitted along with the petition, are not enough to initiate a probe against Jacob Thomas. Along with rejecting the petition, the court has also rejected the report of Finance Secretary KM Abraham saying that the latter is already facing a vigilance probe. It also gave a clean chit to Jacob Thomas in the purchase of solar panels.
