Vigilance court dismisses plea against chief secretary

T'puram: The Vigilance court here dismissed the plea against chief secretary SM Vijayanand alleging that he set aside files recommending action against top officers sent by the vigilance director and home secretary. The court said that an inquiry was not possible into the allegation under the anti-corruption law. Meanwhile, the court criticised the appearance of the government pleader in the case and asked on what basis he appeared.
