Is VS's letter a sign of resentment?

Veteran CPM leader VS Achuthanandan on Monday sent a letter to the CPM central leadership asking to remove M M Mani from the cabinet in the wake of the court dismissing Mani’s discharge petition in Anchery Baby murder case. VS has asked the central leadership to take an appropriate decision after considering the court verdict. "Those who are named accused in criminal cases should not continue as ministers. Hence, how can Mani continue as minister?", VS asks in the letter to CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury. The trial court on December 24 rejected the discharge petition of Electricity Minister M M Mani, seeking discharge from the case relating to the murder of Anchery Baby in 1982. Super Prime Time discusses the issue.
