T'puram: A Vigilance court ordered an inquiry into the appointment of kin in government positions during the tenure of the previous UDF government. As per the order, a preliminary investigation will be initiated against the then chief minister Oommen Chandy, six ministers in his Cabinet and three MLAs. This includes Ramesh Chennithala, Anoop Jacob, V S Sivakumar, K C Joseph, K M Mani and P K Jayalakshmi. The probe report should be submitted before the Court within February 6. The order followed a petition seeking enquiry into 14 controversial appointments made during the UDF rule. The Vigilance told court it is ready to investigate appointments made during UDF rule.
