VS Achuthanandan lambastes police, reminds its a LDF rule
T'puram: CPM veteran VS Achuthanandan has lambasted police for beating up a CPM branch secretary and his family and for a arresting writer Kamal C Chavara. The police brutality on CPM branch secretary, his friend and family took place when he was on an outing in the beach. The police official responsible for the act should be dismissed from service after pressing murder charge, VS said. In unequivocal terms he also criticised the police for arresting the writer acting on a complaint from Yuva Morcha. He underlined that it is LDF, which is ruling in the state. "Such fascist acts with justification of upholding the morale of police force cannot be permitted in any way," he added.
