Magnesium deal: CS's report favourable to Tom Jose

T'puram: Action should not be taken against Tom Jose, additional chief secretary in the labour department, in the magnesium import case, says the report by chief secretary SM Vijayanand. The report will soon be submitted to chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Earlier, vigilance director Jacob Thomas had recommended that Jose should be removed from his post. The AG had earlier reported that Jose had caused a loss of Rs 1.75 crore to the exchequer in the magnesium deal at KMML, Chavara.
