Chief secretary dismisses, but Vigilance says court probe on

T'puram: The Chief secretary on Saturday dismissed the recommendation for Vigilance enquiry against ADGP (Intelligence) R Sreelekha for alleged misuse of funds when she was the Transport Commissioner. But in a dramatic turn of events Vigilance told the Vigilance Court in a hearing related to the case that it has already started the probe in the case. Earlier, after an inspection, Chief Secretary S M Vijayanand, rejected the recommendation submitted by the Transport Department. He further handed over the file to Chief Minister to take final decision in this regard. The allegations against her include transfer of officials in AMVI/MVI posts violating the rules and irregularities in the use of road safety fund.
