Attempts to weaken the strength of cooperative sector: CM

T'puram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the protest against attempts by centre to destroy the cooperative sector in the state would continue. He said co-operative banks are the backbone of Kerala economy which common man can rely. " If a common man approaches a commercial bank, they may not get a loan immediately. However, the co-operative banks give loans for every needs right from birth to death. There is a discreet goal behind the government's decision not to allow the cooperative banks to operate like other banks in the wake of demonetisation," he said. CM along with his ministers began a dharna before the RBI office here demanding steps for its protection.
