Binoy Viswam speaks against Athirappilly project

Kozhikode: Expressing his strong disapproval over the Athirappilly hydro electric power project, CPI leader and former minister Binoy Viswam asked to refrain from doing anything and everything in the name of development. He was talking on a function after participating in International People's climate march here today. While inaugurating the function Dr. Sandeep Pandey said that major political parties of India are fed on the money donated by land mining mafias. Instead of going for the project harmful to the ecology of the state, the government should look for alternatives like solar power, he added.
