Posts for kin: Corrective measures will be taken, says Yechu

New Delhi: CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said that the party will take corrective measures in the wake of widespread complaints over the appointment of leaders relatives in plum posts in PSUs and as government pleaders. Yechury made it clear that the state secretariat meeting will take a decision after discussing the issue. He also said that the central leadership has not received complaints on the appointments. The CPM politburo had expressed dissatisfaction over the appointment of ministerial relatives in key posts. According to reports, CPM central committee member M C Josephine had submitted a complaint to party state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on the appointment of relatives of CPM leaders as pleaders.
