“The landed should be prepared for sacrifice”: CM

Kochi: Speaking at the conclusion of ‘Mass Contact’ programme here lasting for 16.5 hours, the CM said that to fulfill the dream of land for all, those with excess holdings should be prepared to make a sacrifice. After distributing land to a lakh of the needy, another 143,000 have to be provided land in the proposed 2nd phase. He disbursed a relief amount of Rs 2.5 crore, while personally receiving over 9,640 fresh complaints from the people. The CM also distributed title deeds to 253 residents of Rameshwaram Colony. The programme that started at 9a.m., saw a patient crowd lined up dutifully at respective counters set up by different departments and taluks.
