Kochi: Inaugurating the ‘mass contact’ programme here, the Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that the wider social purpose of the programme was to learn about the problems facing the people, apart from fund distribution. He listed the three aims behind this public exercise. The first is to narrow the gap between the people and the government; make them realise that they have the right to contact government. The second is to solve the problems of the public at the earliest.
