Two arrested in connection with Kannur CPM activist's death

Payyanur: Kerala police on Thursday nabbed two persons in connection with the murder of CPM worker Dhanraj in Payyanur. Police have not disclosed the names of the persons or whether they belonged to any particular political party. The arrest will be recorded by evening after questioning the two. CPM activist Dhanraj was hacked to death at Kunnaruvil in Ramanthali around 10 pm on Monday night. Hours after the murder, BMS activist CK Ramachandran was also murdered in Annoor. Widespread violence was reported in Payyanur following the murders. A gang wearing masks barged into the house of CPM activist CV Dhanraj (38), and hacked him to death in front of his family.
