Microfinance: SNDP to fight case, meeting to discuss matter

Alappuzha: SNDP Yogam is getting ready to defend the legal action it is facing over the microfinance deal. SNDP has decided to fight the case legally and organizationally. A leadership meet of the Yogam will discuss the matter on Saturday. Vigilance Director Jacob Thomas had ordered to register a case - with SNDP general secretary Vellappally as first accused - over the allegation of fraud worth crores of rupees in the deal. There were also reports that arrests would be made. SNDP's move follows this. Yogam feels that the case is part of the attempts of CPM to attack BDJS. Vellappally made it clear that they were not against the government. He said V S Achuthanandan moved court against him while he was opposition leader.
