Govt to take strict action against toxic vegetable sales

T'puram: The State Government is planning to take strict action to curb sales of toxic vegetables. Inspection on vegetables coming from other states will be made mandatory. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that those who are found guilty would not be allowed to sell vegetables in the state. Inaugurating the organic vegetable farming in colleges at University College here Chief Minister said that elaborate arrangements would be made to promote organic farming in the state. He also revealed an ambitious plan of state government to carry out organic farming in 50,000 hectares.
