Marathwada drought claims 712 lives in 3 months

Mumbai: In Marathwada in Maharashtra, hit by a debilitating drought, farmer suicides are increasing by the day. In the last three months, 712 farmers killed themselves. Fertile fields have turned into arid lands and all crops were destroyed. The farmers are neck deep in debt. No water, not even a single meal. If the state,. union governments fail to intervene at the earliest, things would get of of hand.
