Chandy threatens to pull out if tickets denied to his aides
New Delhi: The Congress high command is learnt to have proposed a compromise formula for selection of candidates, according to which ministers Adoor Prakash and K Babu will have to stay away from polls. However, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy reacted to the proposal by saying that he himself would stay away from the elections. The CM has thus made it clear that he is not ready for any compromise.The AICC screening committee failed to reach a consensus on the seats, over which disagreements remain, on Saturday also. Chandy said V M Sudheeran or AK Antony may lead the election campaign. He added that he would take part in the campaign in all the 140 constituencies.
