Police brutality on HCU campus: NHRC registers case

Chennai: National Human Rights Commission has issued notices to HRD Ministry and University of Hyderabad authorities in connection with the police atrocities on campus and blocking of water and food on campus. The notice has also been send to Telangana police commissioner. The Commission has asked the police to give a report within a week. The opposition has raised the issue in the assembly. The National Human Rights Commission registered the case based on the media reports about the police brutality on students protesting against the ouster of HCU VC Appa Rao.
