HC rejects govt plea to stay vigilance court order

Kochi/Thiruvananthapuram: High Court on Monday rejected the plea of the state government to stay the Vigilance Court order of a probe against K Babu. The division bench said that as the Vigilance had told that the matter is before the High Court, it could have waited till the HC decision. Meanwhile, the High Court accepted the plea for a CBI probe into the bar bribery probe. Though K Babu had submitted the resignation letter to CM, he is yet to forward it to the governor.
