Govt bypassed legal advice against anti-Pinarayi move

T'puram: The state government bypassed the legal advice and moved against CPM leader Pinarayi Vijayan in the SNC Lavalin case. The law secretary opined that the government had no role in the case and he was against the affidavit which stated that the Lavalin deal caused huge losses to the state. Earlier, the affidavit prepared by the energy department had stated that the deal did not cause any loss to the state and hence it cannot be contradicted later, he pointed out.
