580 crore for urban development in Kerala: Venkaiah Naidu

New Delhi: Union urban development minister Venkaiah Naidu said that a total of Rs 580 crore will be allotted to Kerala for urban development this year. The Centre would consider extending the Kochi Metro line and an increase in the allocation for grant for housing. Kannur and Guruvayoor would be included in the Amrut city project. The government would consider allotting a smart city to the state next year, he assured Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
