Green Palliative takes a disabled-friendly inclusive step

Malappuram: On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Green Palliative took an affirmative step towards realising one of the sub-themes of UN IDPD 2015; that of making cities inclusive and accessible for all. A body of the disabled in wheel-chairs turned out on the streets to create public awareness on their right to mobility. They demanded that all government offices and public transport be made disabled-friendly, including building of ramps. It has been found that an estimated hundred crore people living with disabilities worldwide do not enjoy access to society on an equal basis with others. Students too participated in an expression of solidarity.
