Tripti lights up poor homes with discarded plastic bottles

Tripti Aggarwal is busy lighting up the lives of people in the rural areas of Karnataka with nothing but a discarded bottle and a strong resolve. The remote areas, where water and light were distant dreams, have become immersed in light, at a very low cost. The slums were lit up by Tripti's organisation Litre of Lights. here, an empty transparent bottle is filled with distilled water and then glued to acrylic sheets put up on the roof. It then starts refracting sunlight, illuminating the entire place. In slum areas, where even during day time there is not enough light, the project is very useful.
