Jacob Thomas denied permission to move court against CM

T'puram: Chief secretary Jiji Thomson denied permission to DGP Jacob Thomas who sought permission to move court against chief secretary Oommen Chandy. He pointed out that as per All India Service Rules, an employee could not file a case against a head of administration. If it was a private complaint, Jacob Thomas could approach a court. If not, he could proceed with legal action once he retired from service, Thomson informed the CM and home minister. The chief secretary had also took into consideration a report filed by the law secretary before arriving at the decision not to allow Jacob Thomas to move court against the CM.
