Poll debacle: Report recommends removal of 5 DCC presidents

T'puram: A KPCC report into the local body election debacle points out that the collapse of the party mechanism is the reason for the poor performance in the polls. The party will consider changing its DCC presidents of Thrivananthapuram, Kollam, Thrissur, Palakkad and Kozhikode. One of the reasons is that in many places those having winning chance were not given ticket and instead those close to the leaders were given the chance, said the report. There are also allegation that some even encouraged cross voting in favour of BJP. The report also says that some decisions taken giving group consideration also backfired.
