Water logging: Booth shifted in Kochi after EC intervenes

Kochi: The polling in the Kochi Coproration Island South Division polling booth No ! has to be shifted due to water logging inside the booth. When the polling began in the morning the booth was immersed in water. The polling officials had a tough time wading through the water that rose up to 2 feet. After the protest from voters, a temporary wooden pathway was put in place which however failed to solve the water logging. While the voting was progressing the authorities tried to pump out the water which also failed to yield result. The district collector visited the booth and after the intervention of the election commission the booth was shifted to an adjacent building.
