KMCC promotes pesticide-free greens in B’luru

B’uru: KMCC, the frontal organisation of Muslim League, is providing pesticide-free vegetables among local Malayalees. Initially, they advertised in newspapers their intent to make available seeds to those interested, which evoked tremendous response. With help from the agriculture department they planted and nurtured spinach, ladies finger, tomato, beans, coriander, brinjal, bitter gourd, curry leaves. Now as these blossom in the terraces of Malayalees, Kannadiga neighbours too have started approaching KMCC for seeds. As in Kerala, the vegetables sold in Karnataka too are pesticide-laden. S K Rameez of KMCC Kamanahalli unit hopes that this would prove an inspiration for others.
