Palakkad: In the backdrop of the exchange of fire between Maoists and the police, Kerala and Tami Nadu states have reached at an agreement for joint search operations. The Maoists have committed a crime which comes under the NIA Act, 2008. It has become clear that they had camped in Kadukumana forests and that some of them wounded in their gun battle with the Kerala police. A search is on for the extremists in the hospitals in Palakkad and nearby places. Meanwhile, the police would soon hand over a report on the shootout at Kadudkuman to the NIA.
