Chandy flays rebels, gives them another chance to withdraw

Kasargod: Chief minister Oommen Chandy lashed out at the Congress rebels who filed nominations for the local self government polls. He said that another opportunity would be given to the candidates, who had not been given official recognition, to withdraw from the elections. Though the last date for withdrawal of nominations was past, another chance was being given to them; if they continue to remain on the fray, strict action would be taken against them, the CM warned. In Kannur corporation, six rebel Congressmen who filed nominations from Pallikkunnu panchayat were expelled from the party. PK Ragesh, one among the six expelled, said that he would not withdraw from the fight and wouldn't mind the consequences.
